Foggy Oceans

Slumbering creatures
Deep in the valleys of fog
Stirring as their
Formless predator encroaches
Thorny tendrils of despair
Snare them as they flee
Weaving frustrations in their mind
As archaic instincts flood in
Binding ever tighter
Ghostly currents
Pulling you around
Drowning you further
In its oceanic depths
The full moon of day
Bares open what hides
Where peace seems to elude
Where your eyes remain obscured
Desperation for a new way
Squeezes limits into infinity
A boulder of stuckness
Begins to roll off you
Where plants can begin to regrow
You take to the hills
The ocean of fog below
On its slow crawl
The golden glow of sun
Soon lifts and burns it all
The mountainscape emerges
Its strength revealed as you
