In the dark high forests
Owls call out
Leaves crunching
As your footsteps
In the eerie silence
Of no answers
Meander in different ways
Which way to go?
Blackness in all directions
Your feet stop
As though surrendering
To the fate of the unknown
Your eyes scan
Sensing what is enshrouded
In this darkness
Pillars of trees
As science upholds law
Art an abstract truth
Coiling its way through
The deepest recesses
Of the mysterious fabric
That is black matter
Where form
Folds into the formless
In that space
Infinity sees
It hears, it feels, it senses
Filling the parts
That have not yet been reached
As you
In the gaps
Of knowing and not knowing
Rebirths
In each moment
An etheric force
Whispering to you
Where silence can only hear
A movement that propels you
Breaking you back
Through the surface
Of earthly terrain
Like a child taking its first breath
The canopy of trees above you
Chatter in excitement
In the winds of direction
That carry you
This way they say
The sun rises
Rays of incandescent colour
Illuminating form
Your feet find the way
Out of the now known confines
Of the wooded territory
To meet distant horizons
Where another dark forest
Awaits your discovery
